Among all RE tasks, setting up the environment is a tedious, but necessary step.

With the recent release of REVEN 2.5, getting up to start with your first scenario is now easier than ever!

This series of video articles will guide you through the process of configuring a virtual machine (VM) to be used for vulnerability or malware analysis with REVEN.

It is divided into 3 parts:

  1. Importing a VM (this article)
  2. Lightening the VM for more efficient scenario recording
  3. Finalizing the configuration workflow

Today’s video is about the first steps of the configuration process, that will lead you to importing a VM for use with REVEN.


By the end of this video, you now have a VM that is can be started in REVEN. However, the next steps in the process will ensure that you can efficiently record scenarios with this VM, so stay tuned for the next part!
